“Build it, and they will come,” does not work with websites.
It may have worked for the 1989 sport-fantasy drama, Field of Dreams with Kevin Costner, but not for website traffic.
When we’re clear about our message and who we serve, we create relevant content that benefits our audience.
We promote our website information through campaigns, social media micro-content, or brand awareness activity.
We begin to attract people to our site. We may gain organic traffic from optimizing our content for search engines.
But what happens once they come?
Have we leveraged our website for conversion?
Here are 17 Ways to Leverage Organic Website Traffic

11. Social Share Buttons
12. Opt-in the footer of your website.
13. CTA Menu Tab
You create a page (Work With Me or Hire Me) on your website, and add it to your main menu.
14. Sidebar Widget
15. Welcome Mat
This is like a pop-up, but it covers your entire site with an image. The visitor must click out or comply with the call to action before they can visit your site.
16. Create a “Work with Me” page.
This is similar to #13; however, you don’t need to add it to your menu bar. You can create a button or clickable text to take them to the “work with me” page.
17. Chat Box
