Since 2023, I’ve been testing a number of AI tools and I’ve discovered that there’s one that can do so many things for solo business owners that really eliminates a lot of the confusion and the overwhelm of which AI tool to use. And that’s what I’m going to share with you today, the one tool and the many ways that you can use it. After trial and error. There has been so much talk about all these AI tools and in the beginning, back in 2023, I was testing many of them and it can be very overwhelming, especially back then when they weren’t really perfected and many of us were investing our money, investing time, trying to figure out which would work well.

Marisa Shadrick :
I discovered that one tool, one AI can do about 80% of of what solo business owners need to do. And that’s what I’m going to share with you today. I’m going to tell you the various ways use cases that solopreneurs can use. Chat GPT yes, we’re back to. Chat GPT is where it all began. And Chat GPT has come a long way. It has matured. It’s no longer a toddler, it’s no longer a teenager.

Marisa Shadrick :
It is shaping up to be a very useful assistant for us. So let me share with you a few of the things that solo business owners already do and how ChatGPT can improve your process. Not only that, but I’m also going to introduce a free resource that will help you write better prompts. It’s what I discovered to be the best practice for prompt writing. And I’m going to give you a template with my context framework that will help you write better prompts. It’s what I discovered that worked after trial and error and figuring out exactly what to include in a prompt. And this template is a fill in the blank that has everything you’re going to need, not only to write better prompts and get better output, but to create custom GPTs as well. So all of my work since 2023 till now, you get it all in one PDF, so stay tuned for that.

Marisa Shadrick :
So let’s get started with seven activities that solo business owners do to grow their business and how ChatGPT can help. The first one is your website. Of course, your website needs to be created and if you haven’t done that already and just starting out. ChatGPT can help you with audience your and help you create the content that goes on the website. So the first step to do it is to give it the professional role. And in this case for a website audit you would say that you are a web designer or a UX copywriter. And once you do that and you fill out the resource I’m going to give you, you give it all the variables and it begins to audit your website. All you have to do is pop in the URL and you’re done.

Marisa Shadrick :
The next thing solo business owners do often is email marketing. So Whether you’re using ActiveCampaign or you’re Kit or you’re using Mailerlite or you’re using Kajabi, you still gotta write the copy. And even a lead magnet has maybe three emails, a welcome series that leads them to some other offer. So what do you do? You start with ChatGPT and you give it a role. Each time you give it a specific role. If you’re not sure what role to give it, Google it and find out. Ask it what is the profession that takes care of Blank. So in this case it would be an email copywriter or an email marketing strategist.

Marisa Shadrick :
And that is a role you would give it. You would follow along with the template I’m going to give you and there you have it. It will begin to write the emails for you. I always say write one at a time. That way you can give it feedback and improve the second email and the third email and you want to have an idea what is it that I want to do in each email, the first one might be welcome. The second one might have a story. The third one might lead on how they can go deeper. Number three, appointment scheduling tools.

Marisa Shadrick :
Now we all need those on our website. Now here’s a way that ChatGPT can help. It can help you create an intake form. Oftentimes it’s really helpful to find out a little bit about the prospect so that you can be prepared when you get on the call. So whether you’re using Calendly or tidycal, it doesn’t matter. You simply start with the role. And in this case you would tell ChatGPT you are a client experience specialist or you are an admin va and then you give it all the other variables that I’m going to give you in this template. And and there you have it.

Marisa Shadrick :
It gives you the actual intake form that you can create on either some type of form platform or even Google forms. Number four Content creation. Now, maybe you want to create a blog or maybe you want to create a newsletter. You need ideas. Well, ChatGPT can help you with the ideation and the writing of the blog. You give it all of the variables and you start by giving it a role and you say you are a content strategist or multimedia creator and then you let it know your preference. Do you like to put stories in it? Do you like a lot of white space? Do you like bullets? Do you like the word count to be350,500? You follow along with the template I’m going to give you and before you know it, you’ve got a writing assistant for those blogs that you want to write. Number five, video and meeting tools.

Marisa Shadrick :
Now, many of us use Zoom, we use Loom, we use Sunspark, we use different video tools. So how can ChatGPT help us with this? Well, you give it the role and you say you are a video script writer or you’re a presentation coach. You give it a specific role and it will help you write the script that you need. So whether it’s for maybe a sales page that you’re creating a video, or maybe you’re creating a podcast, it can help you with the outline so you feel more confident. Number six, social media content. Now, if we’re writing blogs, we’re creating podcasts, we’ve got a lot of content that we can repurpose for social media, but still we got to create those captions, we got to create those images. ChatGPT can help you with that. And now with some of the updates, ChatGPT can create amazing images for your social media and can even size it in the size that you need.

Marisa Shadrick :
So when you’re creating these, you’re going to tell ChatGPT again, you’re going to give it a role and you say you are a social media manager and you’re writing for and you tell it which platform you’re writing for. I always recommend focusing on one social media platform, but if you want to do more than one, you can always have it customize the content for that specific platform and then let it know how. Do you like the captions to be creative? Witty? Do you want to use the transcript from some podcast or maybe a blog post and create snippets from it? Do you want a carousel type post for Instagram? Do you want a PDF document that you can upload on LinkedIn? What is it that you want and it will help you do that? Number seven, the visual design assistant. Chat GBT can now produce amazing Images. And it’s getting better at laying text over the image. We’re seeing less and less of seven fingers in one hand. It’s getting much better. It wasn’t the case a year and a half ago, but so much has changed this year.

Marisa Shadrick :
So now you can create images right inside of ChatGPT, or you can have ChatGPT write the prompt and create the image on another AI tool. Now, ChatGPT does do a good job with the images and it also has Sora, which will create some beautiful little short videos for you if you want something to catch people’s attention. So that’s another thing that’s a time saver, but so much better than what we had before. And here’s a bonus one that’s really, really helpful and that’s market and competitor analyst. You simply tell ChatGPT, again, a role you are, a market researcher. And then you will take maybe a competitor’s URL, put it into ChatGPT and have it analyze it and then compare it with yours. How are you different? So you could begin to position yourself clearly in the market. You can do this with a lot of different things for the research that you need.

Marisa Shadrick :
You can do industry research, you can do deep research. With ChatGPT, it takes a little longer, you gotta wait a little bit, gotta wait a minute. But it will give you all the information that you need. You always want it, check the facts. But it’s getting better and better at producing great information. So here’s the bottom line. It’s not about having a whole bunch of AI tools, spending hours on YouTube with tutorials. It’s about using one.

Marisa Shadrick :
And my recommendation is the paid account for chat GBT because it does so many things. It’s like a Swiss army knife. It does so much. But most people, they just create content for social media and that’s it. They stop there. There’s so much more that you can do.
