Without hesitation, I answered, “I’d write.”
But here’s the thing—I had been placed in remedial English in elementary school. That label followed me through high school, casting a shadow of doubt over my abilities.
How I Earned My Copywriting Certification After Years of Self-Doubt
But after being asked that life-changing question, I return to college. I immersed myself in English classes, from Shakespeare to creative writing—everything I had missed. A 4.0 GPA reignited my passion for words.
One day, my creative writing teacher read some of my stories and said, “Marisa, you could be published.”
Those words unraveled years of self-doubt and opened the door to a new direction. I became a published writer and eventually earned two copywriting certifications.
